Course Overview

The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed for healthcare professionals who respond to emergencies involving infants and children, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, emergency medical personnel, and other providers responsible for pediatric patient care.

This comprehensive course builds upon foundational life support skills and focuses on the recognition and management of critically ill or injured infants and children. Through simulated pediatric emergency scenarios, participants will learn a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, effective resuscitation techniques, team dynamics, and evidence-based treatment strategies that improve patient outcomes.

Mandatory Precourse Assignment (Approx. 3–5 Hours)

As part of the blended learning format, students are required to complete assigned online precourse materials before attending the classroom session. These materials include instructional videos and key concepts designed to maximize hands-on learning during class.

Blended Learning Format

This course combines online learning with instructor-led classroom training.

Part 1: Complete the required online precourse materials.

Part 2 & 3: Attend the instructor-led classroom session for hands-on skills practice, case scenarios, skills testing, and written examinations.

Upon successful completion, students will receive an official American Heart Association PALS Provider certification.

Need BLS Certification?

Students who also require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may add the AHA BLS Provider Online & Skills Session to their registration.
