The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform high-quality CPR and other lifesaving skills in a variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

This course provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to recognize life-threatening emergencies, deliver effective CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and respond confidently as part of a resuscitation team.

Through instructor-led training and practical skills exercises, students will learn the latest AHA science-based techniques for improving survival outcomes during cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • One-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR techniques
  • Team dynamics and effective resuscitation performance
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Bag-mask ventilation and airway management
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for conscious and unconscious victims
